Who we are

Lantern Learn is an independent educational publisher and the umbrella for three imprints: Fox & Fern Books, Holly & Hare, and Rocket & Raven. This policy covers lanternlearn.com only. Each imprint operates its own site with its own policy.

What we collect

We collect very little. Visiting a page on lanternlearn.com sends standard web request information (your IP address, browser type, the page you requested) to our hosting provider, which we use to keep the site online and protect it from abuse.

We also use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages get visited, in aggregate. See the Cookies and Third parties sections below.

We do not collect personal information unless you choose to give it to us, for example by typing your email into our release-alert form to be notified when a new release ships. Emails submitted this way go onto our release list, which is delivered through Resend, our email provider. We use your address only to send you the release notifications you asked for: no marketing sequences, and we never sell or share the list. Email us any time and we'll remove you.

Cookies

Besides essential cookies needed for the site to function, this site uses Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies to measure how visitors use the site (pages viewed, rough location, device type). We use this aggregate data to understand which pages are useful. We do not run third-party advertising on this site. You can block analytics cookies with your browser settings or an extension like Google's opt-out add-on, and the site works fine without them.

Children's privacy

Our books are designed for children, but our site is intended for the parents, teachers, and caregivers who buy them. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

Third parties

A few third parties help us run this site or sell our books:

• Cloudflare hosts and protects this site.
• Google provides Google Analytics 4 (usage measurement, see Cookies above) and the web fonts this site loads. Google's processing is governed by Google's privacy policy.
• Resend delivers our release-alert emails. If you join the release list, your email address is stored with Resend for that purpose only.
• Pinterest hosts our public profile (linked from our footer). Visiting Pinterest is governed by Pinterest's policy.
• Each imprint (Fox & Fern Books, Holly & Hare, Rocket & Raven) has its own site and policy.

Your choices

You can browse lanternlearn.com without giving us any personal information. If you've given us your email for release alerts and want to be removed, email us at hello@lanternlearn.com and we'll take you off the list.
